Graduate With 1st Class, Get Masters, PhD Scholarship — Utuama:

THE Delta State Deputy  Governor, Professor Amos Utuama, has charged students across tertiary institutions in the state to work very hard in their various institutions in order to ensure that they graduate in flying colours.

While speaking during the 6th Inauguration Ceremony and Annual Lecture of the newly elected executives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and Joint Campus Committee, JCC, Delta State Axis, in Asaba, Utuama urged the students to graduate with first class honours so as to benefit from the state government’s reward of automatic scholarship to undertake a Master’s and PhD degrees in any university in the world.

Prof. Utuama, who gave this charge also advised the new students union leaders in the state to use unionism to enhance the individual and collective educational advancement of their members; create a peaceful environment and always open the window of dialogue in order to resolve challenging issues.

He said: “I want to charge you all, that in carrying out your activities, you must conduct your affairs with decorum that is befitting of being students, you are the pride of our youths, therefore you must carry yourselves with dignity, with grace in order to show that you are students of Delta State origin.”

According to him, the difference education makes in the life of the people cannot be quantified. He therefore urged the students to pursue every effort that will make them excel in their educational career.
