Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTECH, last week Thursday, graduated 7,022 students for its 2013/2014 academic session.
Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) turned out another set of graduates totaling 7,022. Giving a breakdown 4,094 graduated at the National Diploma (ND) in full time, and 2,928 HND students from the School of Part Time Studies (SPTS).
During a pre-convocation press conference held at Ikorodu campus, Lagos, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Abioye Lawal disclosed that the students have been trained in various entrepreneurial skills, computer knowledge and are ready to face all the challenges of life.
Speaking further he said all the graduating students are fully ready to face the challenges of life. He also assured the graduands of their certificates immediately after the convocation.
On the issue of dichotomy between HND and Bsc, Dr. Lawal stated that all stakeholders in the polytechnics have been on the issue for long and have been working to close the gap and make sure that there is no discrimination for the holders of Bsc and HND in the country.
