PDP Blasts Aregbesola Over Osun School Crisis

Osun State  chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has condemned Tuesday’s visit of Governor Rauf Aregbesola to Baptist High School, Iwo, saying the governor only succeeded in trivialising the issue at hand.

Students of the school had last week thrown decency to the wind as some of them appeared in hijab and other religious paraphernalia to the school.

PDP Chairman  in the state, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa in a statement in Osogbo, yesterday, said the visit of Gov. Aregbesola to Iwo where he wore uniforms was condemnable, arguing that he should “as a matter of urgency revert to the old uniform and stop forthwith the use of religious paraphernalia in Christian schools.”

The PDP chairman claimed the rate of crisis in schools had increased in public schools since the present administration in the state began the reclassification exercise.

Olaoluwa said the days of Aregbesola were numbered in Osun State “as the PDP has set machinery in motion to kick him out.”

The PDP chairman advised Aregbesola to reenroll after he might have been kicked out in Osun in one of the institutions so that he could be taught properly on governance.
