Unilorin Students Win 2014 NIMechE Contests


Four students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ilorin, have won the first position in a quiz competition at the 2014 NIMechE Students Conference and Project Exhibition at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

The students, Omole Samuel Olasunkanmi, Ganiyu Bsshir Olalekan, Agbogunloko Olumide Emmueal and Oyeniyi Shola Mathew, also won the Most Marketable Design Project Prize at the competition.

The competitions were organised by the Obafemi Awolowo University Students’ Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineering.

The students’ winning entry was a project titled “Design, Assembly and Construction of a Portable Vaccine Cooler”.
