Atiku Donates N25 Million to Nasarawa State Varsity:

Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has donated the sum of N25 million for building of a research and study centre to be named “Atiku Centre” at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Atiku, who announced the donation during a public lecture he presented, titled: “Confidence and Consensus Building through Conferencing” at the university, said the gesture was his contribution to the development of the young university.

The lecture which attracted a huge audience from within and outside the university was held at the university’s Assembly Hall in Keffi.

It was hosted by the acting Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Akaro Mainoma and chaired by the former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu (CON).

The state governor Umaru Tanko Almakura was represented by the state’s Commissioner for Higher Education, Mr Philip Shekwo.

Former Chairman of Leadership Group, Mr. Sam Nda Isaiah and former Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Asisi Asobie, were the discussants at the paper presentation. (Daily Trust)
