Bauchi State Government Partner The John Utaka Foundation to Use Sports & Charity Projects to Empower Students & Children


In a bid to contribute his quota to the development of sport among talented youth and children in Nigeria, the John Utaka foundation has got into partnership with the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State on Students. This was contained in a press release by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Bauchi State on Students’ Affairs Comrade Prince Sanni Hassan was in consonance with the pragmatic action of his Excellency the Governor Mallam Isa Yuguda who has the students of Bauchi State at his heart prior to creating the office on students’ affairs.

The Programme Assistant of the John Utaka Foundation Mr. Bino JU stated that the partnership will explore sports, talent hunts, capacity building, charity projects in promoting and sustaining the dreams and aspiration of the chairman of the foundation- John Utaka who currently plays at Silver Sports Turkey. He further said that the specific areas the John Utaka Foundation will be concentrating include but not limited to the John Utaka Foundation is dedicated to helping educate and empower the youth of today within marginalised communities for a better tomorrow. This means providing education through scholarships for young people who cannot afford it; Youth empowerment through the provision of work placements in Nigeria and abroad enabling them to gain accredited training and vocational skills through our international partners; Provision of positive activities and support to stimulate young people’s development through arts, culture and sports — from film, football, photography and music; Poverty alleviation through the provision of basic amenities such as water, food and medicine to the less fortunate — which will enable us to reduce poverty, improve health, providing grants and working in partnership with registered charities which help disadvantaged young people to play communal role.

On the benefit to the Bauchi State Government, students with special talents in sports, the less priviledge, the almajiris will benefit from the projects and programmes expected to be flagged off by the Executive Governor of Bauchi State. Mr. Bino Julius Wayamdi also said that similar endorsement and partnership has been cemented with the Nasarawa State Office of the SSA to the Governor on Students Matters and the Committee of Deans of Students Affairs of Colleges of Education in Nigeria CODSACOE
