Ebonyi State University, EBSU staff employment vacancies .
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for full-time appointments to fill the underlisted positions in Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki:
(A) CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER (CSO) (CONUSS 13)
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is a key officer by Statute and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day maintenance of security of lives and properties in the University.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Candidates are to possess:
(i) A good honours degree or its equivalent, preferably in Social Sciences, Art or Law, plus evidence of discharge or exemption from NYSC.
(ii) At least 12 years’ relevant experience from officially recognized security outfit at a minimum level of ASP or its equivalent, plus evidence of clean service record from former place of employment.
(iii) Proven attributes of crime-combating competence, effective leadership and good sense of human relations shall be an advantage.
(B) INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY/RESEARCH (ICT) MANAGER (CONUSS 13)
The ICT Manager should have managerial abilities and a good understanding of local and international data safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
(i) A good degree or its equivalent in computing/programming engineering (a master’s degree is vital for the salary placement), plus evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
(ii) Professional qualification in areas such as Cisco, Microsoft and Mikrotik.
(iii) 4 to 6 years’ experience in relevant field(s).
(C) SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER (CONUSS 9)
The Network Engineer is a key officer by status and is to be grounded in managerial positions and have a good understanding of local and international data safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Candidates are to possess:
(i) A good degree or its equivalent in computing/programming engineering (a master’s degree is of added advantage), plus evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
(ii) A professional qualification in areas such as Cisco, Microsoft and Mikrotik.
(iii) 3 to 6 years experience in relevant field(s).
(iv) COREN registeration shall be a vital factor for the salary placement.
(D) HIGHER COMMUNICATION MAST RIGGER TECHNICIAN (CONUSS 7)
Shall maintain/service relevant communication masts etc.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
Candidates are to possess:
(i) A good degree or Higher Diploma in Computer or related fields: plus Current certificate in Rigging (Advanced Rigger preferred).
(ii) NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
(iii) 3 to 5 years experience in telecommunication rigging.
(E) METHOD OF APPLICATION
(1) Interested and eligible candidates should submit fifteen (15) copies each of; application indicating names and particulars of three referees, detailed curriculum vitae and other relevant credentials, addressed to: The Registrar and Secretary to Council, Ebonyi State University, (4 weeks) from the date of this publication.
(2) Candidates shortlisted for interview shall be notified for further necessary action.
NB: One of the three referee reports must come from the Chief Executive of candidates’ employer/former employer or institution of higher learning while the remaining two are each to come from candidates’ religious leader, local government chairman and or, any other reputable Nigerian of the status of a Director etc.
