Welcoming Prof. Ambali to his office, the Ambassador noted that he is always proud of the university of Ilorin for being one of the leading Universities in Nigeria and Africa and also for being the only University in Nigeria that has enjoyed uninterrupted academic sessions for over a decade now.

Ambassador Obisakin commended the efforts of the Vice-Chancellor and his management team in their drive towards making the University of Ilorin a world class citadel of learning that will ensure that African children are offered the best education anybody can get anywhere in the world.

The envoy also commended the initiative of the Association of West African Universities (AWAU), of which Prof. Ambali is the Vice Chairman, on its efforts towards ensuring greater collaboration among universities in the West African sub-region.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the Ambassador for the warm reception accorded him and members of his team.
