The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta 21st and 22nd Combined Convocation Ceremonies has been scheduled to 21st of June, 2014.
As preparations are on top gear to host the 21st and 22nd Combined Convocation Ceremonies of the University, the Chairman, Ceremonials Committee, Professor Babatunde Idowu, has promised that members of the committee will put in their best to ensure the success of the event.
Professor Idowu gave the assurance during an inspection tour of the proposed venue for the convocation, which is ready for use. According to him, the event would be unique in the sense that, unlike in the previous years, where an open-field was used, the newly-constructed 2,500-Capacity Auditorium, will be used. Highlights of interesting activities to expect include drama and stage performances, exhibition and Convocation Lecture, as he lauded the invaluable commitments of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Oyewole at ensuring that the venue of the convocation was ready.
On the number of graduating students and whether there will be conferment of honorary awards, the Chairman, Ceremonials Committee disclosed that between 3,500 and 4,000 First Degree and Postgraduate students will be convocating, while there will be no honorary awardee. Professor Idowu also promised that nothing will be left undone to provide adequate security, ease transportation and movement of persons during the events.
