LASU ASUU Has no Plan to Suspend Strike

LASU ASUU Has no Plan to Suspend Strike – The chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Lagos State University (LASU) chapter, Dr Adekunle Idris has disclosed that there is no plan to suspend the ongoing strike by the union, saying the authorities of the university are yet to address the issues in contention.

Dr Idris, who disclosed this to LEADERSHIP in a telephone interview yesterday, said there was no reason for the union to call off the strike.

The union leader stressed that though the demands of the union are numerous, the three core demands for the resolution of the face-off are reversal of the high school fees regime, repeal of the ‘no vacancy, no promotion’ policy of the administration and the implementation of the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Act.
