National Youth Service Corps, NYSC farewell message to the out-going 2016 Batch ‘A’ (Stream 1) Corps members.
On behalf of the Management and staff of the NYSC, I heartily rejoice with the 2016 Batch ‘A’ (Stream 1) Corps members on your successful passing-out today after a year of meritorious service to our fatherland.
I join other Nigerians in saluting your sense of patriotism as illustrated by your contributions to national unity and development in the course of the service.
We, as managers of the Scheme, are proud of the legacies you bequeathed to the host communities through various community development initiatives.
My dear compatriots, as you begin the next phase of life today, I have no doubt in my mind that, with the various experiences you have gained, coupled with your academic attainments, you are all set to soar to the highest level of success.
I urge you to remain focused, and let no individual or challenge deter you as you work towards the actualization of your dreams.
Remember my words of advice to you during my interactions with some of you at the Orientation Camps; they are as relevant as ever. There is no short cut to success. Your watchwords should remain honesty, hard work and, above all, the fear of God.
I wish you success in your chosen endeavours.
