Babcock University post UTME application form for admission into the university undergraduate programmes for the 2016/2017 academic session is out.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into Babcock University (BU), for 4-, 5-, AND 6- year Degree Programs for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Babcock University General Entry Requirements.

Minimum qualification for the First Degree Programs: 5 credits at the GCE/SSCE/NECO Examinations or their equivalent (at not more than 2 sittings); one sitting only for Medicine & Surgery.  Candidates below 16 years of age are advised not to apply.

CANDIDATES AWAITING 2016 WAEC/NECO SSCE RESULTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS BEFORE MATRICULATION.

All candidates who APPLY DIRECTLY to Babcock University are REQUIRED to sit for the current JAMB examination (for 100 Level) or apply for JAMB Direct Entry admissions (for Direct Entry).  Candidates who apply for Transfer Admissions need to present JAMB Admission letter and transcript from their previous University. No candidate shall be admitted to Babcock University without Babcock University POST-UTME.

Degree Offered:  B.A. (Hons.) History & International Studies
Requirements:  5 credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO including English Language, History/Government and any other 3 subjects. 

  • Department of Languages and Literary Studies

Degrees Offered:  B.A. (Hons.) English Studies
                             B.A. (Hons.) French Studies
                             B.A.French(Options) in Diplomatic Studies.
Requirements:  5 credits in English Language, Literature in English and any other three subjects. For French/Diplomatic Studies, the other three credits must include French and Government/History.

Degrees Offered:  B.A. (Hons) Religious Studies [1]
                             B.A. (Hons.) Christian Religious Studies. [2]
Requirements:  5 credits in English Language, CRK or IRS and any other 3 subjects for [1] and CRS for [2] above. A pass in Mathematics is required for each of the programs.

For No 6 above, 5 credits in O’level results including English Language and Literature in English, and any other 3 relevant subjects.  For No 3 above, 5 credits in O’level results including English Language and Mathematics, and any other 3 science subjects.  For Nos 5 above, 5 credits in O’level result including English Language and Mathematics and any other 3 social science subjects.

Direct Entry: Holders of NCE, OND, HND or equivalent can apply for Direct Entry

Degree Offered:  B.A. (Hons.) Music
Requirements:  5 credits O’Level in English Language, and any other four subjects.

Requirements:   5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant subjects.

NOTE: A pass in Economics may be considered provided the candidate has a credit in Accounting or Commerce.

Degrees Offered:  B.Sc. (Hons.)/ACIB in Banking & Finance(5-year program)
                             B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics
Requirements:  5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.

Requirements:  5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.

This is a program that prepares graduates for employment as: Archivist; Database Manager; Digital Collection Librarian; Electronic Resource Manager; Records Manager; Special Librarian; Web Master; Information Architect; Multimedia Specialist; and many more careers in different organizations.
Requirements: 5 Credits in English Language, Mathematics and any other 3 subjects in either social or pure science subjects

Direct Entry to 200 Level: two passes in Chemistry, Agricultural Science/ Biology (Botany, Zoology), at GCE ‘A’ Level 1 or at Principal Level; HSC or HND in relevant disciplines. NCE – Agric/Forestry/Fisheries etc.

Entry Requirement: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Electronics/ Basic Electtricity, Economics and Chemistry or Geography/Technical Drawing/Data Processing at O’Level.
Direct Entry to 200 Level: in addition to the 5 credits at O’Level, a direct entry candidate must possess: (a) three requisite papers at HSC or GCE A’Level or; (b) OND or HND in appropriate/relevant areas, and preferably at Upper Credit Level.


COLLEGE OF HEALTH AND MEDICAL SCIENCES

SCHOOL OF NURSING SCIENCE

  • Department of Nursing Science

Degree Offered:  BNSc. (Hons.) Nursing Science
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. 

Direct Entry:  For Direct Entry students, a candidate is required to: (1) be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the N&MCN. In addition, possession of at least one post-RN certificate e.g. Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) would be an advantage. (2) Possess satisfactory result at the SSCE or its equivalent in five subjects at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. (3) Submit official transcript of all the nursing programs to be used for the admission. (4) Submit current license from the N&MCN at least 6-9 months expiry duration. (5) Produce letter of reference from three people which may include the current employer.

SCHOOL OF PUBLIC AND ALLIED HEALTH

  • Department of Public & Allied Health

Degrees Offered:  B.Sc. (Hons) Public Health 
                             BSW (Hons) Social Work.
Requirements: 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other Social or Science subject for Public Health.
