Requirements

To be considered for the 87RRI recruitment, ensure you meet these requirements:

  • Age (Non-Tradesmen/Women): 18 to 22 years
  • Age (Tradesmen/Women): 18 to 26 years
  • Height (Male): Minimum of 1.68m
  • Height (Female): Minimum of 1.65m
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum of four passes in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB, and a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate for tradesmen/women.

Application Method

To apply, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Portal: Log on to the recruitment portal at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng using your username and password.
  2. Fill the Form: Complete the free online application form and submit it.
  3. Print and Complete: Print a copy of the completed application and the guarantor form, fill out and sign them.
  4. Bring to Centre: Bring duly signed copies of the application and guarantor forms to your state’s recruitment centre.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications

  • Must be single and a Nigerian citizen by birth with a valid National Identity Card/NIN slip.
  • Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit per the Nigerian Army standards.
  • Must have a valid birth certificate/age declaration from the National Population Commission, hospital, or Local Government Council.
  • Must possess a valid state-of-origin certificate.
  • Must not have criminal convictions.
  • For tradesmen/women, a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate is required.

General Instructions

  • Screening: All screening will be conducted at each candidate’s state of origin, and there is no special centre for recruitment.
  • Pre-Selection Test: No Pre-Selection Computer-Based Test.
  • Prohibited Items: Avoid electronic or recording devices.
  • Original Documents: Bring all original educational certificates (primary to secondary) to the recruitment venue.
  • Prohibitions: Candidates must not have tattoos, belong to any cult, or forge documents.

  • Shortlisted Candidates: Shortlisted names will be published on the NA website. Report to your state for screening from 20 June – 3 July 24.
